A real book about real homeschooling, Homeschool Supermom…NOT! won’t (like many other books and articles on the subject) hold up to you an impossible model of impossibly perfect people doing an impossibly perfect job of homeschooling. This book, 20 years in the making, is full of photos, ideas, tips, Scripture, humor, and practical application. In it, you will find help for your home and school and hope for your soul. In total transparency, I explode the Supermom myth. I invite you to be the proverbial fly-on-the-wall in our homeschool. You will be strengthened and encouraged as you see that I – the so-called Homeschool Supermom – really am just like you! See photos of our house (unwashed dishes, dirty laundry, michievous kids, and all). Read stories of how we’ve worked out our problems (we all have them). Do Bible studies that will strengthen your soul. Equip yourself with lots of great ideas. Learn about resources that are available to you. Shore up your convictions. Cry over your sin. Laugh at the comics (by Todd Wilson, FamilyMan) and jokes. Most importantly, find strength in the grace that is readily available to you. Believe me when I say you are not the only one who struggles. You are not alone! Read the book. It’ll change your life.
About the Author
I am in that season of life where I am considered to be a “Titus 2 Woman” by God’s grace. Married for nearly 40 years, and having raised 9 children has given me extensive and unique experience. Not only have I been home-educating my children for over 30 years, but I’ve written books, magazine articles, and newsletters on home education. I’ve also created seminars and workshops on various topics pertinent to parenting, marriage, and homeschooling and have presented them around the country. I started Schoolhouse Publishing to market not only the books I’ve written and published, but also to market what I consider to be the best homeschool curriculum on the market today…and to make it affordable to today’s single-income family. Beyond that, we’ve used our business and expertise to encourage, equip, and envision parents for the task of educating their children.
