Description

Our family absolutely loved this series.  We decided to do it as a read aloud for fun.  We always have rules for our read alouds:  NO READING AHEAD!  It killed us so what we did was just stay up to read more and more chapters each night.  We had so much fun.  The whole series is an allegory of Creation through a new heaven and earth.  In the back of the book are questions  about the allegories that Black put within the larger allegory.  For instance, sometimes a character acted like Moses, other times he did things that Noah would do.  The questions (and answers thankfully) led us through the symbolism of the books.  We know you will love these books.  And then you will have to get his second series:  The Knights of Arrethtrae.
